The hamlet of Vigna, in Chiusa Pesio (CN), will hold a 3-day celebration for the festival of the patron saint this weekend.
The event will start with a Sangria party on Friday, 28 June: tons of sangria and beer will brighten the night together with the band 'Backstage'. Saturday will be the day of the Gran Polentata (the Great Polenta Party. To book: 335.7120507); the polenta, or maize porridge, is a typical dish of Northern Italy.
The big day will be Sunday: in the morning, Mass and religious procession, in the afternoon, starting at 3pm, the famous occitan band Roussinhol will be playing traditional folk music. There are gonna be many games for kids and families as well.
